My favorite pods part 1: Motivational

Motivational podcasts are one of my favorite ways to start my day, take up a long car ride, or keep my mind busy while running or cleaning. I love listening to podcasts that give me inspiration to be a better version of myself, through tips and through looking up to others’ actions. Finding podcasts like these has changed my life, so try out a few if you're feeling it.

@lexie podcast

Lexie Lombard’s podcast gives me inspiration to pursue my best life and mental health. Her podcasts chronicling the time just after losing her mother give a deep dive into grief, self love, and show that it is okay to not be completely okay. Also, every single one of her book recs and "favorite items" is in an online shopping cart for me at the moment, I trust her taste with my life.

Mood with Lauren Elizabeth

Lauren Elizabeth's Mood podcast, is a combination of audio-therapy, interviews with inspirational people, and chatty mental health talk. I especially have found useful in this podcast the practice of listing a Best Mood and Worst Mood of each week/day/separate moment. Lauren Elizabeth's take on success and life all tying back to mental health and recovery provides a baseline of taking care of yourself.

Growing with the Flow

University student, or "Uni student" (that accent is so catchy!), Nayna Florence gives life updates, advice, and shares fun moments and stories through her podcast. Her voice is calming and fun enough to listen to for hours and her tips and tales make her podcast feel like a conversation with an "older sister you've never had". She also inspires me to visit Edinburgh to live out every European city life fantasy I've ever had.

Manifest with Tori Desimone

This podcast made me want to be a spin instructor.... I'm working on that. Tori Desimone confidently and assertively shares her thoughts, takeaways, and life stories in her podcast Manifest, convincing the listener to have just as much self confidence and love while also growing along with her. Starting her own spin studio and company at a young age, she is an example of the phrase "anything is possible if you put your mind to it". Her podcast is one that inspires me to go for it.

ILYSM with Kenzie Elizabeth

In her podcast I Love You So Much, Kenzie Elizabeth combines the power of the interview with gentle self love and care. Each and every interview feels like a conversation between friends, while still being educational and showcasing inspirational people to learn from. I credit her book club episodes for making me want to get back in to reading, showing how reading and productive tasks can be made simple and fun.
